Bruins notebook: Brad Marchand improves, Cross gets call

bruins jersey
WILMINGTON - there in the first week of the season has been a lot of good news for bears, but yesterday: Brad Marchand has returned to the ice only three days after suffering a concussion.

For a change, it will be a Bruins player suffered a concussion, it's not too serious.

"I feel very good," Marchand skating and fair competition in the fast practice is difficult, but after wearing a green non-contact jersey said. "Now, it's just trying to get back as fast as I can. You never know. These things are day-to-day. You can feel the good days, then take a step back.

"But I'm glad I'm feeling. I wish I did not have any setbacks. No matter what the doctor told me to do, I'll do what they say."

Sequelae of concussion can last as little as several days or as long as years. It seems Marchand, in contrast, Patrice Bergeron Jersey, Mark · Savard and Nathan Horton, have one of the least severe kind. Under normal circumstances, injuries and other players held about one week or less, if they pass the NHL's concussion protocol testing.

Since XAC Bears tonight's game against the Denver Avalanche, Marchand went along. The guess is that he will miss the game, but in return Saturday in Glendale, Arizona, on the coyote.

Marchand was injured when his head hit the Canadian winger Dale Weise elbow. Exposure appears purely unconscious, while Marchand clear any bad intentions of Weise.

"I think he just wanted to shoot," Marchand said. "I knew he was going to shoot. I'm just trying to get him before he and I just kind of felt, he put his elbow and he did not know where I was."

Bear's 0-3-0 start to the worst, because the 1999-2000 team lost its first three games. B loss tonight would give their first 0-4-0 record since 1964-65. However, there are in the locker room a sense of optimism and hope to go on the road, play simple, smarter puck should help to keep the team on track.

"There is no quick fix in this game," Marchand said. "We have shown that, in the (three) games a good sign. We have not won yet, but there are many, we can build off the good things there (Zdeno Chara) returned to the lineup great. We still have a lot to on the basis of learning and a lot, but I still believe we will become a good team. Just because three games, it's not going to tell us this season. We do not worry about it. You want to stay composed. This three games. There is a lot worse than this beginning, and the team (already on) a good season.

"We know we are not in the best case, now, but there is a long season ahead of us. We will improve. We have a lot of young players, a lot of new players. The only way it wants us to go."

Coach Claude Julien wants to see his team respond better to come in a game of adversity.

"We started pretty good in all three games," Julian said. "If we had some trouble (YES), rather than bending it through the course of the game - there are times when the other team get a little momentum - we have broken, and give up the goal that you can bend in the game, but you must be able to get your game.

"Like I said, we have broken down, and that when we chase game. This is an area, change has come. If our way of bending, so that we are convinced that this is all we rebound. It is a spiritual something that we have to overcome. "

Bears notes

Defensive Joe Morrow Jersey was placed injured reserve (sick), and bears recall former Boston College star Tommy cross. This will be the first NHL stint of Simsbury, Conn. Native, who is a second-round pick (35th overall) B of the cross in 2007, 26, has been in prep school captain (West Min Temple), in 2012 BC and Providence championship team this season. . . .

Bears surrendered 16 goals in three games, and AVS, who is 1-1-0, has scored 10 goals. B's necessary to play what is called "a good road game," tight defense flag, rather than trying to put on the offensive show. . . .

Congratulations to East Longmeadow's Frankie Vatrano, this week named AHL player in two games in Providence after scoring five goals. . . .

Former Bear Center Carl Soderberg, from Colorado who got an expensive free-agent contract (five years, $ 47,500 sets cap hit), 2 assists and averaged 16:42 of ice time.
